things I've been liking lately

So, I know the general idea: you just can't cover The Beatles. However, I think they did a pretty stinking awesome job that would do Paul, George, Ringo and John proud.


Gorgeous song. Comes from this poem I really, really like. Plus the mandolin and such instruments make me think of bluegrass, which I've heard continually for the greater part of my life. (Yeah, thanks, Dad. I'm talkin' about you)


hahaha these guys are cool. And singer dude is very ...hmm, into it? Enthusiastic, yes. He's very enthusiastic ;)
Plus, Lady Gaga, hello. Love her.


aaaand the gaga love just keeps on comin'. Vintage video of her performing at NYU, and say what you will about her now, it's undeniable that she's ridiculously talented and has a beautiful voice.

- the fact that Christmas is soon! :)
- cold weather
- buying presents for people
- the fact that our latest paper is done, thus I can now breathe

Things I DON'T like:
- midterms, blah
- heavy traffic
- people that lose all sense of proper driving in said heavy traffic
- overly-crowded malls
- chemistry, in general. But more specifically the fact that I suck at it and my grade will reflect that. :|

so prior to watching this video, only one thought comes to mind: I WANT TO DO THAT!
haha okay, so I've always been a dancer at heart (that is, as long as no one's watching) and have definitely always appreciated watching others do it.
However, I think the general rule for 99% of people is that your dancing looks and feels way cooler in your head than it does for the people suffering through watching you.
So yeah, I'm just gonna watch her and wish I could do that. :)

Thought I'd dedicate my first post as kind of an introduction of what is to come. I love the idea of a blog, and I actually had one previously (well, actually, it's still there, I just don't really use it that much, and a certain sibling of mine begged me to make one here :p), but I figure why not get a fresh start here?

One thing I know for certain is that as soon as January 1st comes around, I'll be starting a Project 365, which, in case you don't know, is basically where you take a picture and post it every day for a year. Sounds a little weird, but they actually can be kind of cool. I actually wanted to do one this year, but I didn't really have the desire until about March, and I didn't want to start one a quarter into the year, so I've been patiently waiting for 2010. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy that time's almost here.

I'll also be posting just thoughts I have, Youtube videos I find and like, songs I'm into, perhaps, photos I like from around the web. Just anything, really.

I'm not big on documenting my days because, well, nothing too exciting happens to me that often. Ha. However, if it does, I may write about it. Who knows?
